“Preventive activities are of great importance in order to spread the occupational safety culture and to establish the principle of safe working in the workplace. In this framework, near miss reports which are informed by employees are very valuable and important to perform preventive actions before an accident.

At the Occupational Health and Safety Board meeting held on 20.11.2018, it was decided to give a categorized award to 3 employees of the Gemport terminal and two employees of the subcontractor Günaydın Group according to their near-miss notifications.

Award winners;

1. Gemport Operation employee Mustafa PALA full gold,
2. Gemport Operation employee Ali AKÇER and Günaydın Group Operation employee Cüneyt YELKENCİ were rewarded with half gold,
3. Gemport IT employee Olcay TUĞRAL and Günaydın Group Operation employee Muhammed YILDIRIM were rewarded with quarter gold. "
