Established under the scope of YILDIRIM Group in 2012, YILPORT Holding carries out its activities at YILPORT Gebze, located in Dilovasi, as well as at Gemlik Fertilizer Port, Malta Freeport, YILPORT Gemport,YILPORT Yarimca,YILPORT Oslo,YILPORT Gavle, Eti Logistics and Stockholm Nord Combi Terminal. After the acquisition of Malta Freeport in 2011, YILPORT became the first global port operator in Turkey.

As a general philosophy of YILDIRIM Group, YILPORT Holding is seeking opportunities to expand the business on a global scale, with the aim of becoming one of the leading 10 global terminal operators by 2025. Powered by YILDIRIM Group's business synergy, YILPORT Holding provides its customers with Turkish boutique service that adheres to international standarts.

Once YILPORT became a “Holding” in 2012, the Gebze port was appointed as the home terminal, with policies set to enhance and universalize the “YILDIRIM” company culture throughout the new facilities added to the Group.

YILDIRIM Group, which is headquartered in Istanbul, is an international family-run holding company established in 1963 in Samsun, Turkey.

It is currently present in chrome ore mining and trading, ferrochrome production and trading, coal trading, fertilizer production and trading, shipping, shipbuilding, and port management. YILDIRIM Group enjoys the having a recognized competitive advantage in Turkey, which have successfully developed in the global marketplace over the years.

The group's executive management is comprised of three sons of Garip Yildirim: the chairman, Ali Riza Yildirim; the president, Robert Yüksel Yildirim; and the vice-president, Mehmet Yildirim.
