MOB devices were began to be used which were purchased to be attached to the lifejackets as one of the personal protective equipments of Gemport Pilotage and Tug Services Department. MOB(man-over-board) device is a unique safety tool that instantly inflates the lifejacket, cast the light and send the signal to the ships and its own tug via satellite in case of fall of the pilot to the water.
Safety is a “must” for us, hence we should consider all such risks and ensure the safety of all employee. Therefore, we always use cutting-edge technology as YILPORT.

At first drill of MOB device, a trial was demonstrated on the model, it was thrown to the water, the signals were identified at pilotage stations and the AIS pilot boat. MOB Device installed life jacket was operated autmatically and device started to send MOB signals within 15 seconds.

We wish Gemport Pilotage and Tug Services Department to never need to use this signals and say, Safety First!
