YILPORT Gävle welcomes CMA CGM Mermaid, the first LNG vessel to call at the container terminal!

The vessel, 204,29 meters long and 29,6 meters wide, holds a capacity of 2,000 TEUs and is part of CMA CGMs newest fleet of container ships. The new design offers better hydrodynamic performance to reduce fuel consumption by 15% per trip. The CMA CGM Mermaid is built to enhance energy efficiency and environmental performance by up to -20% CO2 emissions, compared to a similar-sized ship with a conventional maritime fuel design. It was handled with the state-of-the-art cranes completing a remarkable 870 container moves at YILPORT Gävle Container Terminal.
