Common feeder operator X-Press Feeders will on 29 May launch the 'Ireland Baltic X-Press' service ('IBX') which will hub at Rotterdam.
The new service will turn in three weeks using three ships of 917 - 1,036 teu, calling at Rotterdam, Dublin, Rotterdam, Riga, Klaipeda, Rotterdam. ONE will take slots on the Rotterdam - Baltic leg of the service, branding it 'BBX'.
The new feeder loop combines existing connections of the X-Press network in North Europe. The Rotterdam - Dublin link was already part of the Benelux - UK-Ireland 'ISX3', whereas the calls at Riga and Klaipeda are retaken from the 'Benelux Baltic X-Press service' ('BBX').
The launch of the 'IBX' triggers changes to the 'BBX' loop, which is being re-branded by X-Press 'BBX1'.
As the calls at Latvia and Lithuania are transferred to the new service, the revised 'BBX1' will turn in two weeks (one week less) with the rotation of the 1,036 teu sisters HELENA SCHEPERS and NORDICA limited to Antwerp, Rotterdam, Helsinki, Kotka, Antwerp.
These Baltic network changes coincide with the start of a second Benelux Baltic X-Press loop ('BBX2') this week.
The new 'BBX2' starts turning in two weeks with two 900 teu ships calling at Rotterdam, Wilhelmshaven, Gdynia, Rauma, Kotka, Rotterdam.
