YILPORT Gemport terminal launched the automatic weighing system, which provides container weighing service. Thanks to the new system commissioned, the weighing service is performed automatically over the system.

With the LPR and container (OCR) systems, which make a significant contribution to operational efficiency, truck drivers can weigh and do the weighing process without the need for a weighbridge.

In addition to the vehicles coming from outside the port, terminal tractors carrying containers in the port also were recognised to the system and the containers receiving export stuffing service were integrated into the system.

Gemport gained momentum in service and operational efficiency with the OCR system, which provides the opportunity to weigh by reading the container number on the vehicle and compares with the containers in the system, and the terminal inland weighs simultaneously from the double lane.

Gemport, which started in 2020 with a focus on innovation and development, will continue to make a difference in the region by increasing its service quality this year.
