Grupo ETE has announced that it has completed the largest Portuguese clinker export ever, to client Cimpor, an InterCement company, successfully concluding the loading of 55,902 tonnes on the Vinayak bulk carrier, bound for Ghana.
The operation was carried out in a record time of one working week and carried out entirely by river, with the loading of the clinker in barges at the river terminal of the Alhandra Cimpor Production Center factory, which were then transported by tugboats to the ship anchored offshore in the port of Lisbon.

Grupo ETE is the only company in Portugal to carry out inland waterway transport and offshore loading and unloading operations, carrying more than 25 clinker vessels per year and exceeding the one million tonne mark.
