Gemport, which makes a rapid entrance to bulk cargo and general cargo operations in line with the targets determined by the year 2018, increasing its market share each day. The operations gained a significant momentum owing to the bunkers had been done by the Deceased Mehmet YILDIRIM and Terminal's self-owned cranes which are used simultaneously in operations.
The bunkers designed by Marmara Shipyard engineers and the Deceased Mehmet YILDIRIM have a volume of approximately 120 cubic meters and hydraulic opening and closing system. Owing to the internal motors, the bunkers have the ability to move back and forth and can be relocated under the shifts in a short time which increases the velocity of operations.
Gemport will increase the quality of service in bulk ships operations and will minimize the waiting time of vehicles with its valve structure and remote-control management system which feeds two vehicles at the same time owing to the volume of 120 cubic meters.
On the third of April, necessary training of the technical personnel was completed by Rotaport Maintenance Manager Bulent NEBIOGLU. Gemport, who does not held bulk operations with MHC cranes, has successfully completed 2 test vessels upon the arrival of bunkers. With these special types of equipment to be used in 2018, Gemport targets to achieve the utmost level of customer satisfaction by increasing the loading rate in operations.
