    Huelva port authority (Autoridad Portuaria de Huelva) has received the UNE-ISO 14001:2015 certification, after successfully overcoming the audit of its environmental management system.
    The certification supports the work of the port in terms of sustainability and in the provision of services effectively and regularly. The audit, conducted by the certifying entity DNV GL Assurance Business Spain, has positively assessed an improvement in the environment, highlighting the clear commitment to open the port to the city of Huelva, improving the quality of life of Huelva and the appreciation that these they have on the ecosystem and the Odiel Marshes Natural Site.

    In addition, it has reflected the collaboration the port has with the concessionaires for environmental improvements, promoting the environmental performance of the companies active in the harbor.
    The set of environmental criteria integrated into the different areas of the port authority has been highlighted in line with the provisions of its Strategic Plan, as well as the most important milestones of the environmental strategy in the medium and long-term. Management has also been audited in the areas of administrative control, civil engineering, the safety of the service area, maintenance and cleaning, as well as dredging operations.
