The "Natalia A" ship, a container carrier of the Turkish shipping company Arkas Line, which operates on the Adriatic Service offering weekly flights from Ravenna to the ports of Istanbul, Gemlik, Piraeus, Izmir, Beirut, Mersin, Alexandria and Lattakia, docked at Terminal Container Ravenna (TCR) for the first time on March 13.
"We are very pleased that an operator of the importance of Arkas Line has decided to focus on the Ravenna Container Terminal to handle its container traffic, offering important connections with Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Greece and Syria," the president of the terminal operator, Giannantonio Mingozzi, and the chairman of shareholder Sapir, Riccardo Sabadini, said.
"TCR, after having completed an ambitious investment plan aimed at strengthening operational capabilities, is now able to offer the market increasingly efficient boarding and disembarking services and an important intermodal connectivity. The synergic action of TCR and its shareholders Sapir and Contship Italia continues, aimed at increasing day by day the ability to offer competitive port services and improve the results in the container traffic sector," Mingozzi and Sabadini noted.
In the coming days, the terminal will be visited by Eugenio Domicolo, general manager of Arkas Italia, with the prospects of the new collaboration will be discussed, the general director of TCR, Milena Fico, said.
